Maria Wæhrens: Heaven

We hope to see you at the opening of Maria Wæhrens' solo exhibition Heaven on Friday, November 14, from 5:00-8:00 PM. 

In her solo exhibition HEAVEN, Wæhrens explores the connections between body and spirit, desire and faith. Drawing on dreams, spiritual experiences, and memories from her Christian upbringing, she creates paintings where the erotic and the sacred merge in an expressive, sensual visual language. Her works shift between light and darkness, the everyday and the divine, often inspired by figures and moments from her own life. HEAVEN is a space of transformation; a search for presence, where body, belief, and imagination intertwine through the language of painting.
