Photo by: Anders Hviid-HaglundInuuteq Storch (b. 1989) is a Kalaallit photographer and visual artist whose work has established him as one of the most significant contemporary artistic voices from Greenland. Through an intimate photographic practice that combines personal and archival imagery, Storch explores Kalaallit identity, memory and belonging while challenging long-standing representations of Greenland from within. In 2024, Storch represented Denmark at the 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, bringing Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland) to the Danish Pavilion in one of the most internationally acclaimed presentations of his career. A graduate of the International Center of Photography in New York and Fatamorgana School of Photography in Copenhagen, his practice has since gained remarkable international recognition. In 2026, Storch presented the critically acclaimed solo exhibition Soon Will Summer Be Over at MoMA PS1 in New York.
His works are held in major public collections including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York, Tate, London, Moderna Museet, Stockholm, ARKEN Museum of Contemporary Art, and KUNSTEN Museum of Modern Art, among others. Storch has exhibited internationally at institutions including AKG Art Museum (Buffalo), Weserburg Museum of Modern Art (Bremen), Frankfurt Ray Triennale, Akureyri Art Museum, GL STRAND, Fotografisk Center, Bonavista Biennale, FRAKT Oslo, and FOFA Gallery (Montreal). Upcoming exhibitions include Bonnefanten Museum (Maastricht) and Copenhagen Contemporary (Copenhagen). -
